"I tried to order and my card was declined but I still see the charge(s) in my account, what’s going on? Did my order go through?"
Why a declined card still gets charged temporarily by your bank or credit card is because when you are approved for the amount, the bank holds those funds to hand over to us, but then when our processor declines it/we refuse the funds due to a BILLING address mismatch or incorrect avs code (fraud protection), then the funds are in this limbo. Most banks put them back in within a couple of days, while others will hold it for longer. So let me know if they don't drop off. If they don't, then email me the phone number on the back of your card, and I will call your card issuer and confirm they can stop the hold -- that we will not be requesting the funds.
Used a Gift Card:
We decline because your address can’t be verified and so the above applies the same as it would for a regular credit card.
If you are wondering if an order went through:
An order can only finally go through if you make sure your billing address matches the one on the card - you will then get an order confirmation via email from
info@binkybunny.com order. You can do a search via your email for that address, just in case it gets stuck in the spam folder. Another way to make sure is to just login into your account and see your orders – your most recent order will show up if it went through.
If you have double-checked with your card issuer and the info you entered into your account and your billing address does match:
Many International banks and a minority of U.S. banks do not provide the AVS and code option. If they do not, our fraud filters decline it. We only accept cards that provide us with your billing address and security code to match up when we process your card. This helps protect you and our store from fraud usage. If that is the case, you can try another card or PayPal.
We are sorry it happens this way. I wish it didn't it as is very frustrating for both the customer and the store.
